The five-star Dolce Sitges is built into a lavender-scented hillside two miles west of the old town in lively Sitges. It’s surrounded by the Parc Natural del Garraf and a (private) golf course, making it a refreshingly peaceful escape.

You can walk to a string of twinkling Mediterranean coves in around 15 minutes, or stroll along the restaurant-lined seafront promenade to the town centre in 40 minutes.
